Steve Tomlin has worked for the past 32 years in Tulsa, Oklahoma, as a fine arts contemporary artist and award-winning visual arts educator at Grissom School.
In 1999 Steve's work was selected for the Tulsa International Mayfest's promotional poster and he became the spotlighted artist for Philbrook Art Museum's Festival of Trees. His two-dimensional work has been shown at the Tulsa Artists' Coalition, Oklahoma Visual Artists Coalition and Individual Artists of Oklahoma, as well as in several galleries both in Tulsa and out of state.
Steve works within a structured format, building up layers that play on contrasting colors and contrasting shapes. He often works on three to four paintings at a time in his home studio. His exceptional contemporary pieces are collected nationwide.
Steve's paintings can currently be seen at M.A. Doran Gallery (3509 S. Peoria), or at South Pittsburg Studios (3624 S Pittsburg) by appointment. |
